Lawyers for MICHAEL JACKSON's estate have appealed to a Los Angeles lawyer to raise the allowance paid to the star's beloved mother KATHERINE.
Jackson family matriarch Katherine is given a monthly allowance of $86,000 (£54,000) to cover living expenses for her and those of the singer's three children.
But on Monday (11Jan10), Judge Mitchell Beckloff was asked to increase "the family allowance to the children", with attorneys submitting a figure for the judge to consider, according to RadarOnline.com.
The lawyers did not disclose in court what the additional money would be used for.
Katherine, 70, was awarded guardianship of Jackson's kids Paris, Prince Michael and Blanket in July (09) - a month after the King of Pop's death.
